With SolidWorks Simulation, you can easily subject your designs to the same conditions that they'll experience in the real world. Raise the quality of your products while you reduce your costs for live prototypes and testing.
Solidworks Simulation provides the ideal virtual testing environment to evaluate designs and help make the right decisions for overall quality improvement.

SolidWorks Flow Simulation
SolidWorks Simulation lets you test products for defects before they're built, helping prevent errors early in the design process. It's powerful enough for trained FEA analysts, yet easy enough for product designers. SolidWorks Simulation can even help you optimize your designs for maximum performance and savings.
SolidWorks Simulation opens in the SolidWorks user interface, so there's no need to launch multiple applications. You can subject your designs to the same conditions they'll face in the real world, including stresses, impact, heat, airflow, and more. There's no need to wait until a product has been manufactured to start testing, or go through multiple physical prototypes.
You can use SolidWorks Simulation to answer questions such as
will moving parts clash or interfere with one another?
how much weight can a product carry?
how much will a part deform under specific stresses?
will heat and air circulate through the design properly?
will it survive a fall?
If you haven't been using Simulation tools because you think they require a Ph.D. in physics, it's time to take another look. SolidWorks Simulation is easy enough for any designer to use, but still powerful enough to provide real, meaningful results.
Core Simulation capabilities are included with every license of SolidWorks Premium, and additional capabilities can be added as you need them. Three upgrades are available: Simulation Premium, and Flow Simulation.
SolidWorks Sustainability Conduct life cycle assessment (LCA) on parts or assemblies directly within the SolidWorks 3D design window. Search for comparable materials, see in real time how they affect environmental impact, and easily document your findings.
SolidWorks Sustainability provides a screening-level life cycle assessment (LCA) of the environmental impacts of your full design, with seamless integration to your design process. It includes the diverse tools of SustainabilityXpress (parts assessment, alternative materials search, and environmental impact dashboard) with additional capability to assess both parts and assemblies, using parameters such as transportation mode and distance, assembly energy, and use-phase energy consumption.
Flexible inputs, such as recycled content level and end-of-life scenarios, enable more detailed assessments. You can even perform time-dependent environmental comparisons using the varying lifetimes of different design solutions.
Assessment results are saved for each design configuration, helping you easily compare versions. The Assembly Visualization tool ranks the impact of the parts in your assembly to pinpoint and reassess the sustainability of your design. Seamless integration and automatic report generation allow you to quickly communicate your sustainable design solution.
SolidWorks Sustainability uses the gold-standard GaBi LCA environmental impact database from PE International. You can download updates as they become available, and even request new LCA datasets for your custom materials and processes as a premium service in partnership with PE International.
